Since 1984 (30 years), we have been active in the purebred community - starting with our first breed Kesshonden, we gravitated towards the whippet in the late eighties early nineties after Lucy, happened upon the incomparable Ch. Sportingfield's Kinsman or Luke as he was commonly known at a show and fell in love wth both the dog and the breed.   We obtained a son of Luke, Ch. Hi Tor's Erik The Greatheart who was Lucy's heart dog and the number 8 Canadian Whippet in 1993.  Erik sired one litter for us, and his son Lion Ludah's Lionheart was a champion in both Sweden and Denmark before proving himself a useful sire.  The second whippet to grace our lives and breeding program was the lovely Ch. Seaspells Arpeggio or "Bialy" as we called her, she blessed us with 2 wonderful litters and all of our whippets today can trace to her.  In only a few whippet litters we are proud to have bred 25 Champions in Canada and Abroad.

Age has caused us to slow down slightly - and while we still travel to Canadian and US Shows we are no longer actively breeding Kees and just had our first litter of whippets in 7 years.  Lucy has become more interested in the racing and coursing aspect of whippet guardianship and none enjoy this more then our top "Turtle Award" winner Can/Am Ch. Ludah's Pretty Boy Floyd, lovingly called "Floyd" or "Fluffy" by his American Handler Lesley Potts.

After 25 years of conventionally raising our dogs, we have become interested in a more natural path - limiting vaccinations and feeding a species appropriate RAW diet. We have seen the positive results as long time breeders and are quite happy to discuss in detail our observations.

We are eagerly anticipating the development of our current litter and will be out and about in 2015 catching up with old friends, making some new ones and enjoying our dogs.

We welcome questions always, please feel free to contact us by phone or email.
